Hi,

is there anyone out there, with experience to buy a sax from Gayle
Fredenburgh´s Vintagesax. It´s a bit difficult to purchase a sax via
internet. As far as I can see, the conditions are fair and the quality
is good. What are your experiences?

Thanks in advance

A very good friend of mine (and bandmate) purchased two vintage
saxophones from her a couple of years ago; a Buescher soprano and a
Martin tenor. Both are excellent horns and came well set-up.

One of the best U.S. sources of vintage saxophones and restoration
work. I highly recommend her.

You nailed it in your question with "...the conditions are fair and
the quality is good." She has the nicest Bueschers.

Several years ago I traveled from NH to FL to test several baritones for
sale. I ended up buying a Conn 12M. All the instruments I tested were in
good to excellent condition. I was very pleased with my purchase, although
at the time I thought the price was on the high side. She is a very
cooperative person. It was a good experience and well worth the time and
effort.
